I wasn't going to write about the life and death of David Pryor.

So many reporters already have, and I thought who would want to read my story. I never covered Pryor's Arkansas political career because I was too young. I never worked on Capitol Hill. I didn't have lunch with him like some older journalists who recently wove their Pryor tales into print. I didn't think my tiny David Pryor story would matter.
