New Madrid Zone: Shakin' and Quakin'

Several minor earthquakes have hit the seismic zone in the last few days

The New Madrid Seismic Zone is rumbling.

According to Missouri's State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), seven earthquakes happened Monday morning around the New Madris Seismic Zone.

Five earthquakes were in Missouri and two in Tennessee.

On Dec. 6 the University of Memphis Center for Earthquake Research and Information logged a small earthquake near Lake City in northeast Arkansas.
